EMBATTLED ex-Chairman Appropriation Committee of the House of Representatives, Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin has stated that the Party lied that it has made several attempt to reach him through calls and text messages, summoning him to appear a Disciplinary Committee, saying he had not received any.

He stated today, in a statement made accessible to FrontiersNews, that he only received a letter on Monday evening, inviting him to a meeting, in respect of the current crisis in the House on Tuesday (today) by 2pm at the Party’s Secretariat, explaining that “the letter did not in anyway indicate it is an appearance before a disciplinary committee.

“And I have responded that I will attend the meeting, despite my tight schedules, shuttling between security and anti corruption agencies to provide support and evidence against Speaker Yakubu Dogara and 9 others.”

He added that even if he did receive, it would have been very difficult for him to attend because of the attempt by the QUARTET of Speaker Dogara and others who were determined to abduct him, not until few days when his lawyers requested and got maximum protection for him from the DSS and Police.

Jibrin, while hoping that the party would do the rightful thing by throwing its weight to support the great resolve to wipe out corrupt people and institutional corruption in the House and allow justice to prevail, admitted that by the time theHouse reconvenes by September, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun, Whip Alhassan Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor, must step aside to face their imminent prosecution and save the party and the country from further embarrassment.
