SYMPATHISERS of the leader of the Movement in Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shi’ites, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, alleged the Federal Government of plans to silently kill him in the DSS custody.
Zakzaky followers, who said this during a peaceful protest in Abuja on Thursday, displaying different placards to express their displeasure, asserted that the refusing Zakzaky access to his medical doctor and adjourning is ‘illegal’ trial in Kaduna High Court is part of the Federal Government’s plan to kill their leader.
In the same vein, the sympathisers in a statement signed by S.I. Ahmad flayed the Federal Government for “holing Shaikh Zakzaky his wife in an illegal detention claiming that the oppressed Saikh is not in detention but in a protective custody.”
The statement read in part: “The presidency in 2016 said that Sheikh is being held at his own will for his benefit.
“He has remained in the custody of the Department of the State Security Service (DSS) despite a High Court ruling on December 2, 2016, ordering his immediate release and payment f N50 million to him as compensation.
“Surprisingly, after the claims of protecting Shaikh Zakzaky from his “enemies” by the Presidency, the authority, through Kaduna State government shamelessly decided to charge Shaikh Zzakzaky. And his wife, Zeeenah with murder.”
