Prince Gideon Oyekunle, popularly known as Ade Master, has charged the Alajaawa Of Ajaawa, Oba Thompson Adeyeye, and the Chairman of Ogo Oluwa Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Ojo, to honour the invitation of the Nigeria Police Force as regards the need for a thorough investigation and restore communal peace of the town.
Ade Master in an interview with REPORTERS AT LARGE via the telephone on Sunday said the police intervention is to dig into the root of the crisis to know why and how blood bleeds and properties are destroyed in the town.
According to him, “The Ajaawa crisis, as a serious threat to the security agencies concerned, is worthy of serious attention as the security of lives and people is questioned to the last degree of reasonable logic; making the leadership of the town under questionable and suspicious activities.
“There are apologises, suggestions and orders from many quarters telling me not to honour the invitation from the police, which in the long run would frustrate the efforts of the police and bail would be easy for those in custody.
“As far as I am concerned, such suggestions as advised by my lawyers is a call to avert the course of justice. I was equally told that plans would be made by the state and council governments respectively, to cater for the damages caused on the basis I ignore the invitation.”
He added that “Hon. Ojo in a personal conversation on phone told me I should decline the police invitation because I would be detained. I have visited the police headquarters in Abuja on two different occasions, honoured the commissioner of police of Oyo State but Oba Adeyeye and Hon. Ojo is adamant and refusing to honour the invitation.
“He insisted the matter would be settled at Governor Seyi Makinde’s residence because the police have no jurisdiction over such matter unless the court should decide the law over the matter.”
