THE National Economic Council chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is currently holding an economic retreat behind closed-doors inside the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The retreat is being attended by state governors who are members of the council, some members of the Federal Executive Council, heads of some government’s departments and agencies as well as some state commissioners.
The retreat was declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Before it went into closed-door session, Buhari delivered a keynote address; Osinbajo delivered his opening remarks while the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State also delivered a goodwill message.
