PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari, has asked the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, to make sure the election is postponed, despite the conclusion of the electoral body to carry on as scheduled.
FrontiersNews has learnt from an authoritative source that the Presidency is insisting that the election must be postponed, having called the Chairman of the INEC twice today, on the issue of postponement.
As at the time of filing this report, the INEC Chairman and National Electoral Commissioners are in another round of meetings as a result of the renewed pressure to postpone the election.
