As Police Boss Promises To Protect Protest
PROFESSOR Akindele Adetoye of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State, blasted popular artiste, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, for planning to lead a nationwide protest against the “obnoxious policies” implemented by the President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday 5, February, 2017.
Adetoye described 2Face as illiterate, who has not been able to government his life, but was concerned about the lack of governance in the country, hence the proposed protest the first-class hip hop musician planned to lead in February, 2017.
Meanwhile, as at the time of publishing this piece, 2Face has not responded to the attack by the professor.

“You are a bloody illiterate. You had sex with all manners of girls without using condoms. You impregnated them and made babies all over the place. You now want to lead protest against the government because of lack of governance! Have you governed your own personal life? Charity, they say begins at home. Nonsense!”
Recall the Benue-born artiste recently took to his Instagram handle, @official2baba, calling on his fans and followers to join in the nationwide protest scheduled for February 5 against the “obnoxious policies” of President Buhari said: “A call for good governance. A call for urgent explanation into the reckless economic downturn nationwide. A call for nationwide protests as we say no to the Executive, no to legislatures, no to judiciary… You have all failed us.
“We the people are tired. We can no longer continue with all of you. All your excuses and mistakes are not funny. We do not wish to continue with a system and government that is not working but afflicting the people.
“We the people of this country not living under the privileges of government allowances and remuneration have now accepted to take the bull by the horn to come out and protest this obnoxious and baseless policies and excuses of the government of the day.
“There’s need for Nigerians to rise against what is happening in this country having waited patiently for the legislatures that were elected to represent the people all to no avail.”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, said the command is aware of a proposed demonstration which popular artiste, 2face Idibia, plans to lead on February 5.
Mr. Owoseni said this on Monday while addressing journalists in Lagos.
In his address on the protest, the police chief said although his command is yet to be officially notified, he assured that the police would not allow unscrupulous elements to hijack the protest.
