AS part of activities lined up to mark this year’s World Post Day Celebration, the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) is launching new products that will change the face of postal service in the country.
The products include the repackaging of the almost-extinct Postal and Money orders, to be available online for the use of the public.
This is in its renewed efforts at bringing the postal service at par with best global practices, and taking advantage of ICT era.
According to its General Manager (Corporate Communications), Mr. Franklin Alao, these products, alongside others, are slated to be launched at the event, signaling a number of events lined up by the organisation to re-launch itself back into the public consciousness.
Nigeria is a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the World Postal Body who sets aside every October 9th as the World Post Day for its members to review postal activities in each country in the last one year with a view to celebrate milestones achieved and set new objectives and strategies for enhanced postal services.
The World Post Day celebration is replicated in towns and cities across the country.
