HON. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman National Assembly Committee on Information National Orientation, Ethics and Value has urged Christians in Nigerian to let the teachings of Christ reflect in their lives and relationships with fellow countrymen with other religious background.
The lawmaker representing Surulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal Constituency in a statement to felicitate with Christians on Christmas said, “Christ preaches peace, unity and love, hence, Christians should always extend love to their neigbhours and ensure the reign of unity and progress our dear nation.
While expressing optimism that the current harsh situation will soon be over, Hon. Odebunmi said: “Though we are not where we ought to be as a nation, but we are gradually moving up and with our consistent prayers for the country, and our leaders, and total commitment to Nigeria project, we shall get there.
“We should not allow what we are going through to push us to thinking or action negatively towards our country or fellow countrymen, but we should always pray and work towards sustainability of our democracy and advancement of our dear nation.”
He then used the opportunity of the season to reiterate his commitment to the development of his constituency, Oyo Ctate and Nigeria at large.
