SENATOR Abdulfatai Buhari, Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime will on Tuesday February 13, 2018 hold  a town hall meeting and empowerment programme.
The massive empowerment programs is one of the ways through which the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District reaches out to his constituents.
It is of note that Senator Buhari has, in the last two years, facilitated several projects, moved motions and sponsored bills that would hasten development of his senatorial district. Some of the bills are: Establishment of Federal University of Agriiculture, Oke Ogun and Federal Polythecnic Ogbomoso, which have successfully passed second and first reading respectively.
Apart from payment of millions of Naira for WAEC fees of students in secondary school, the lawmaker has also facilitated several trainings in Agriculture and skill acquisition for the youths in his senatorial district; built ICT centers; donated cash and other valuable materials to various groups and individuals, communities and organisations to boost their activities for economic advantage.
His 2016 empowerment program was adjudged unprecedented in the history of the Western Nigeria and probably Nigeria at large, considering the number of items distributed and beneficiaries.
The Senator in a press statement said the items and beneficiaries of 2018 empowerment program would be more than the previous editions.
Also at the event, the Senator will render stewardship account of his journey at the National Assembly to his constituents.
The program, which is scheduled to commence by 10am would hold at the New National Youth Service Corps Orientation (NYSC) Camp, Iseyin.

Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include; the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and his wife, Florence; Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake; Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly; members of state exco, members of House of Assembly; the All Progressive Congress (APC) party leaders and members, among others.
