KYLIAN Mbappe struck twice as France ended Lionel Messi’s hope of winning the world Cup with in a hugely entertaining 4-3 win.
Argentina were quick off the blocks and Di Maria was guilty of wasting a good through ball early on.
Kylian Mbappe was fouled by Mascherano and Griezmann took the resulting freekick but the Atletico Madrid man was unlucky to see his shit hit the crossbar.

France were not to be denied minutes later though as Mbappe again picked up a loose ball from his own half and ran with the ball all the way to the Argentine box where he was met by nasty Marcos Rojo tackle.
The referee pointed to the spot and Griezmann coolly put France ahead after just 13 minutes.
Argentina were fortunate not concede minutes later when Mbappe was again fouled right at the edge of the box but Pogba skied the resulting free kick when he should have atleast hit the target.
Argentina would soon get into the game and equalised through a superb long range shot from Angel Di Maria. Half time found the scores level at 1-1
Argentina again started the second half positively with Di Maria winning freekick just fives minutes in. The resulting kick was halfly cleared and the loose ball feel into the feet of Lionel Messi.

The Barcelona forward hit a poor shot that was probably going straight into the goalkeepers arms but as luck would have it, the ball struck Argentina defender Mercado and straight into the net.
Argentina with a 2-1 lead after 51 minutes.
France however pulled level ten minutes later via a superb Swerving shot from their right back Benjamin Parvard.
The Europeans went ahead moments later when PSG wonder kid Kyllian Mbappe collected a loose ball in the Argentina box before placing a left footed shot into the net for a 3-2 France lead.
The 19 year old was at it again when a France counter ended with Giroud laying a beautiful pass to Mbappe who shot low for his second of the game and France’s fourth.

Sergio Aguero pulled one back for Argentina deep into added time but it was a little too late as the South Americans crashed out of this year’s tournament in the second round.
