A 33-year-old lady, Adetunji Adetola who was alleged to be having a homosexual affair has been declared wanted by one of the security outfits in Nigeria.

This came after she narrowly excaped death following attacks by mobs who were believe to be an anti-homoxesuality group.

It was gathered that Adetola, who  ran from a Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Bodija, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital where she was severely tortured in a bid to cast out the spirit of homosexuality from her was chased by the mobs who beat her to a pulp along the Polytechnic road in Ibadan on November 2nd 2018.

Investigations by our correspondent revealed that she was once caught in the act with one of her female friends (Chika).

It was gathered that the parents were ready to disown her due to their position in the Church and was already making plans for the authorities to arrest them.

A source said this ed to her disappearance from her family house and the community.

She also feared that security operatives will ruthlessly deal with her going by the fact that lesbianism is considered a taboo and abomination by every tribe and ethnic group in Nigeria.

Sources (who pleaded anonymity) close to Adetola said she was last seen in a suburb in Ibadan city, Nigeria on November 2nd 2018 when she was trying to escape the wrath of the youths.

Accordingly, gay-related activities are generally considered taboo, as most communities ‎especially in the South-Southern part of Nigeria would prefer lynching the perpetrators to death, even before the law takes its course.

Since December 7th 2018, Adetola’s whereabouts remain unknown while the youths of her community are said to have resolved to attack her anytime she is seen around for desecrating their land by being a lesbian.
