The Oyo State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Barr Abdulraheem Abiodun had reportedly been attacked by unknown gunmen at a late hour Wednesday night.
This unfortunate scenario, according to the report, played out around 8:00 pm yesterday, 20th of November, 2019 shortly after the Commissioner was dropped at his residence.
The incident claimed the life of his driver, while his Police orderly is said to still be in a coma in University College Hospital (UCH) at this period of filling this report.
The report made available to newsmen indicates that the Commissioner’s state of health is not yet confirmed the motive behind this attack could not be ascertained as these armed men after attacking the convoy took away also the gun belonging to the police officer attached to the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State House of Assembly committee on security had been summoned this morning to a meeting as a matter of urgency.
