The Chairman, Senate Committee on Land and Transport, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari has urged Nigerians to be optimistic and work towards the greatness and peaceful coexistence of the country.
The Acting Chief Whip in a congratulatory message to Nigerians at Christmas signed by his media office said with God all things are possible.
Senator Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of National Assembly said with total commitment to serving God and humanity and prayers there is hope for Nigeria.
He said “We are not where we were yesterday. I believe with our consistent efforts and prayers, we will get to where we should be soon.
“Jesus’ life exemplifies commitment and humility. He lived his life to seek peace and promote godliness, the same way we should not just be talking about morality but do what we say for others to emulate.
“Let us not be carried away with the positive mood of the season but use this holiday and celebration period to pray and seek for the progress of the country.
“He, however, wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year in advance”.
