Hon Odebunmi Takes Six Oyo Communities Out Of Darkness, Empowers Youths

Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman House of Reps Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Value has facilitated rural electrification for six communities in his constituency and empowered over 1,000 youths with training in various fields.

Some of the communities including, Biiro Olooyo, Iregba Oja, Kale that benefited from the rural electrification projects through Federal government agencies have been in existence for over 300 years without electricity while some have poor electricity supply due to lack of transformer

The lawmaker also facilitates, ICT facilities for secondary schools, Motorized boreholes and construction and repair of asses roads in his constituency

The lawmaker representing Surulere/Ogo Oluwa Federal constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly has also moved bills and motion with a primary focus on the development of rural communities across the Nation

During the inspection of some of the projects, residents of the benefitting communities commended Hon Odebunmi for facilitating developmental projects and urge him not to relent in his effort

The principal of Baptists Grammar School Ajaawa, Prince Ezekiel Olaoye in his remarks on the ICT  facility  said, “ This is the first time our  school will be having ICT class with Internet and inverter as alternative source of electricity and we appreciate Hon Odebunmi for considering our school, with this now  our students can now have access to computer for practical knowledge and other training.”

Mr Wahab Bolaji, a residents of Gambari where 500kva Transformer was facilitated said “For many years now we have been cut off from government light, attempt to raise money to buy new transformer has not been yielding  but now we are happy that Odebunmi remember us and gave us this transformer, we cannot but continue to thank God for giving us a kind-hearted representatives like him and we  urge him to continue to do more for the people

Residents of  Biiro Olooyo, Kale, Iregba Oja and others could not hide their feelings as they described Hon Odebunmi as God sent “ God has used him for us,  not all of us voted for him but he did not deny us what we have bee yearning for, for decades, he is a good representative’

Alhaji Moroof Ajibolu, the Senior legislative aide to the lawmaker who led the supervision team to some of the projects sites said more communities will be benefitted from the rural electrification project, ICT, Classroom, road and training.

Ajibolu maintained that Hon Odebunmi is determined to elevate the status of the people by facilitating basic amenities that will enhance their living standard and reduce rural to urban migration as well as encourage productivity and development.
