“Reading through the lips of my people and beyond the shores of my coverage, I have painstakingly taken time out to listen, gather information, traverse the length and breadth of our dear state, canvass with our people. The feedback is quite impressive.
“Without sounding hyperbolic or immodest, the last few months into the administration of the indefatigable Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun has witnessed a paradigm shift in the areas of political will in meeting the needs, yearnings and aspiration of our teeming Ogun State populace.
“Few weeks ago, The Governor engaged major Investors alike and various investment companies to fast-track a decent partnership with Ogun state. The Governor’s love for Ogun State took him into talks at the UK-AFRICA INVESTMENT SUMMIT on the 20th January,2020. The workaholic Prince Dapo Abiodun met with management team of ALVAN BLANCH in the UK. The manufacturing and agro-processing UK based company has shown interest in investing massively in Ogun state.
“In the Governor’s drive to make Ogun State a land of prosperity and abundance for all, The Governor has opened talks with prospective competent companies to revive the OLOKOLA SEA PORT PROJECT. The government has met with the Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority on the need for the revival of the Sea Port in Ogun state to make life more abundant for all.
“It is safe to say that, Ogun is in safe hands as the steady and purposeful drive of the Governor towards economic growth and security for the State is unprecedented in the annals of Ogun state.
“Massive road construction is currently on going throughout the 20 local governments in the state. The huge budget of the work ministry is an indicator that, we have a government with a clear cut mission on the needs of the people.
“The government has performed exceptionally well in education, health, ease of doing business, agriculture, infrastructure security and social intervention.
“It is noteworthy to mention the rehabilitation of 236 primary schools and health centers in all the 20 local government of Ogun State.
“Let us mention the meaningful conversion of the moribund “Model schools “into a functional ICT HUB for the good of the people of Ogun State.
“The road construction arm of the state has returned sanity to many of our roads. Let us mention but few Molipa-Fusigboye-Ojofa Road in the Ijebu axis; Elite-Oke Lantoro-Isale Ake Road in Abeokuta; Ikoritameje-Adenrele-Olose Titun Vespa Road in Ifo, State Hospital Road in Ilaro; and Baruwa and Hospital Roads in the Remo axis.

“The ease of doing business has gained momentum with the Executive orders creating major councils and Agencies which includes, Ogun state Investment agency, The PPP (Private Public Partnership which has being passed into law).
“The journey so far shows a government committed to lifting the standard of living of the people. We are looking forward into the future with smiles on our faces with the assurance that we have a future collectively protected by the AGENDA TO BUILD OUR FUTURE TOGETHER.
“On a final note, it will interest Your Excellency to know that, the immediate revival of the Dangote Cement Plant in Itori that was sabotaged will guarantee economic prosperity for Ogun state.
“Bringing back the Dangote cement to Itori will not only create more jobs but increase the State IGR in no small measure.
“As a community, we have a good working relationship with the Dangote group. The anxiety of the return of the Dangote Cement to Itori has gripped the generality of my subjects.
We would implore the state Government to leverage on the cordiality already established with the Dangote Group to expedite actions on the renewal of our hope as a people.
“As we say thank you for the dramatic turnaround in the last 9 months, we charge His Excellency not to relent in his drive to take Ogun State to greater heights. This scoresheet is a reminder to His Excellency that, we are watching with keen interest and praying for him to be successful.
“I wish His Excellency well as he takes us to the land of our dreams.”
