Former Kano Commissioner for Works, Engr. Muazu Magaji, who celebrated the death of Abba Kyari, late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Recall that Magaji took to his Facebook to express joy over the passage of Kyari, who died of coronavirus, declaring ‘Nigeria is free’.
Also, recall that Abba Kyari died on April 17, 2020, in a cardiology hospital in Lagos at the age of 67 following the complications of the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic.
Magaji was sacked by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, on April for “making improper comments” on Kyari’s death.
However, the sacked Commissioner denied celebrating Abba Kyari’s death, saying “people only misunderstood me.”
In a facebook post on Thursday, he revealed he had tested positive for coronavirus.
He said: “Dear all, I do truly apologize to you not getting across to me on phone or messages.
“I have been indisposed due to ongoing health challenges some of us going through in Kano. In Sha Allah it will be well.
“This morning my NCDC test is out. I have been confirmed COVID-19 positive and have been moved to one of the state facilities… pray for us.”
