The Oore of Otun-Ekiti & Paramount Ruler of Mobaland, HRM, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi at the governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti.
Oba Adeagbo who a month ago mounted the sacred throne of his forefathers assured the governor of his readiness to use the throne in complementing the efforts of the government for peace and development in its entirety, thanks for not abandoning Mobaland in the scheme of developmental strides of the government.
“Governor Fayemi deserves our support. He is a good leader who is determined to take Ekiti to greater heights, I will use my God-given throne as the paramount head of the entire Moba people to complement his efforts for peace and progress.
“I have seen his strides in Mobaland, I really commend him for this and I used the meeting to as for more projects in the interest of our people.” Oba Adeagbo said.
Governor Fayemi in a message posted on his Twitter page confirmed had a meeting with the Otun Ekiti monarch during which useful discussions bothering grassroots governance and upgrade of rural roads including the ongoing rehabilitation of Oye-Iye-Ikun-Otun road among other projects in Mobaland.
“I met with the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo at the Governor’s office, Ado Ekiti. The discussion centred around grassroots governance and upgrade of rural roads, particularly the ongoing rehabilitation of Oye-Iye-Ikun-Otun road.” Governor Fayemi said.
The Mobaland Paramount Ruler listed some laudable projects that are now on the Governor FAYEMI’s priority attention as;
1. The comprehensive rehabilitation of Government Technical College in Otun Ekiti, Mobaland to a world standard. 2. The effective operation of Ero Dam and Dairy Farm in Ikun Ekiti, Mobaland. 3. Fixing of adjoining roads of all the 13 major towns in Mobaland.
4.Immediate commencement of the Fixing of the Moba local government Health Center in Otun Ekiti, Mobaland.
The Oore thanked the Governor for these various life-changing projects sited in Mobaland and promised to encourage the progressive ideals of the Governor to enhance the peace and development of Mobaland and Ekiti in general.
The new monarch who was accompanied by the Obanla of Otun, Highchief Odeniyi Adeniran and Saade of Otun, Highchief Kehinde Atolagbe later visited the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, HRM, Oba Adejugbe Aladesanmi in his palace where a closed-door meeting was held.
