The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the removal of its chairman in the Osun state, Honourable Adesoji Adagunodo.
The opposition party disclosed on its verified Twitter page that its decision came after a vote of no confidence was passed on Adagunodo by members of the state’s executive.
The NWC also validated the allegations brought before it by the leadership of the PDP in Osun state.
The party appointed the deputy chairman, Sunday Akanfe, to take over Adagunodo’s place henceforth.
The party’s NWC, going forward, wished Adagunodo well as he continues to contribute his quota to the progress and growth of the PDP.
It said: “Consequently, the NWC has directed the State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Sunday Akanfe, to take charge of the affairs of the Osun state chapter pending the emergence of a substantive state Chairman in keeping with the dictates of the PDP Constitution.
“The @OfficialPDPNig wishes the former state chairman well in his future endeavours as he continues to contribute his quota to the growth and development of our party.”
