The household of the Sage, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo has been thrown into mourning as the eldest daughter of the late western region premier, Rev Tola Oyediran, passed away.

The former Nigerian Tribune chairman reportedly died in her sleep.

Revd Oyediran was married to Professor A. B. O. O. Oyediran, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan.

Her death leaves Dr Olatokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu as the only surviving child of the Awolowo dynasty.

However, Reporters At Large has earlier reported the death of Mrs Abigail Makinde, the biological mother of the  Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, who died at the age of 81.
