The minister of defence, Bashir Magashi, has warned Nigerian youths not to breach the nation’s security in the prolonged #EndSARS protest despite making their agitations clearly known to the federal government.

Magashi made this call to the youths in a statement released by the ministry’s spokesman, Mohammad Abdulkadri.

The minister gave this warning when the national coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO), Danladi Pasali, led a delegation to the ministry in Abuja recently.

In the statement, the minister described President Muhammadu Buhari as “a forthright leader and thanked members of the Buhari Campaign Organisation for promoting his political ideology, democratic governance, Rule of Law and philosophy.”

Magashi is one among the many prominent Nigerian government officials who have pleaded with the protesters to give the administration time to act on their demands which have been recognised as justified and reasonable.
