All is now set for the hosting of the second annual Akeem Kareem Lecture Series scheduled for the Functions Hall of the prestigious Jogor Center, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
The event, which holds this Wednesday, March 17, 2021 starts by 12 noon is expected to be attended by the governor of the state, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde.
The programme’s main theme is ‘Nigerian Youths, Entrepreneurial Skills and the Challenges of Leadership’.
The key note address is expected to be delivered by Governor Makinde while the subtheme address will be delivered by Honorable Israel Ajibola Famurewa, the Executive Chairman, Osun state SUBEB who will also double as the Special Guest of Honor.
This year’s edition has been designed to involve facilitators to explore diverse perspectives on Nigerian youth and contemporary issues to create a strategic action plan to support Nigerian Youths towards achieving their dreams through Advocacy, Leadership & Vocational Training, Educational Support, Coaching, among others.
Panelists include individuals who are enthusiastic about Youth Emancipation and Strategic Empowerment from Nigeria and beyond which include Engineer Adedamola Falade Fatila (FNSE), Rep member, Honorable Shina Peller, Mrs Omoniyi Ogodo Baach, Honorable Lekan Olatunji, Chief Whip, State of Osun, House of Assembly, Honorable Seun Fakorede, Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Oyo state, Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkeyede, the CEO at UfitFly (Absolute Travels & Tours) and others.
The event will also double as the Inauguration of the Akeem Kareem Foundation Board of Trustees and kickstart mobilisation to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the Foundation.
Engineer Dotun Sanusi, the Chairman/CEO of ILAJI Hotels and Resort is expected to be the Chief Launcher of the Foundation while Dr Mrs. Victoria Samson, the Managing Director of Bovas & Company will be the Mother of the Day and Prince Ajibola Afonja, former Chairman of First Bank Limited will be the Chairman.
The organizers have made all arrangements in strict compliance with the safety protocols of the W.H.O and all guests are expected to use nose masks appropriately.
