Bandits Storm Farm In Oyo, Kill Amotekun Personnel Guarding Workers

Personnel of the Amotekun Corps in Oyo State, Suleiman Quadir, has been killed in an ambush by suspected armed bandits.

The 25-year-old Quadir of the Atiba Local Government Area of the state was killed at Living Farms in the Fiditi area on Tuesday.

The suspected bandits launched the attack when Quadir and his colleague, Amo Yisau, were escorting the staff of Living Farms to their workplace.

While Quadir was killed, his colleague, Yisau, sustained bullet wounds but survived and is receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Owode, Oyo.

Commandant of Amotekun in the state, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (retd), who confirmed the incident via a statement, said the late Quadir had been buried according to Islamic rites.

He said Quadir is survived by an aged father, a wife and a son.

Meanwhile, REPORTERS AT LARGE recently reported that no fewer than five people have been killed in a fresh attack by bandits in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

The men who are members of the vigilantes’ group were gunned down during the fierce gun battle on Monday morning, April 12, during an attack on a local market and some communities.
