The Representatives House member from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo State, Hon Shina Peller has fulfilled his promise by donating fully-equipped ambulances, delivery couch with stirrups, patient transfer stretcher trolleys, weighing scale for child and adults, stadiometer, fans, power generating sets and other important medical equipment to various health centres across the four local government areas of his constituency.

The donation was done on Sunday 9th May 2021 at Government Technical College, Oluwole, Iseyin during the SHINAAYO Health Intervention Programme – a programme that was meant to enhance the health status of Hon. Peller’s constituents.

And again, thousands of Hon. Peller’s constituents undergone intensive free eye test and treatment, whilst many of them with sight impairment were presented with free recommended glasses to aid their sight.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Peller explained that the health intervention programme was in fulfilment of some of his campaign promises, which bordered on providing adequate healthcare for his people.

Peller said, “Today, we have gathered here in fulfilment of the letter ‘H’ in my political acronym, ‘SHINAAYO’, which means Healthcare. As we all know that Health is wealth and he who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.

“Today’s programme is multifaceted, it includes empowerment of health centres in the constituency with necessary medical equipment, free eye test and treatment to thousands of my constituency, as well as distribution of recommended glasses to the people with eye challenges.”

In the same vein, Hon. Shina Peller also emphasized the need for the Oke Ogun region to embrace unity and peace which he said are required for the development and progress of the region.

Responding to questions from journalists on the state of the nation, Hon. Peller stated that the present insecurity challenge that the country is battling with is overwhelming for the government and urged all Nigerians to support the government in any way they deem fit to address the menace.

Also, he explained that in his own way of proffering solutions to the insecurity issue, he has decided to celebrate his 45th birthday with a National Security and Peace Symposium which he said will hold in Ibadan on 14th May 2021.

Also speaking at the event, the Secretary of Iseyin General Hospital, Mr Akande Moses, who received an 18-seater ambulance bus donated by Hon. Peller to the hospital, expressed the management’s profound gratitude to the federal legislator, adding that it will go a long way in enhancing service delivery of the hospital to the constituents.

It would be recalled that earlier in January this year, Hon. Peller had empowered about 1500 farmers in his constituency with mechanized farming equipment such as electronic knapsack sprayers, motorized seed planters, motorized fertilizer applicators, harvesting machines, and grass cutters and others.
