A member of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Sheriff Segun Adesina and member of Oyo State Environmental Protection Tribunal has advised the newly democratically elected chairmen into the helms of Local Government Councils/LCDAs affairs in Oyo State to emulate the practical approach of the Governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde in running their affairs.
Adesina, who is popularly known as SSA in the political circle, in a congratulatory statement issued and made available to Reporters At Large, cautioned the newly-elected officers not to let the big confidence the electorate have in them down but follow the pragmatic approach of Governor Makinde which is fast turning Oyo State into an industrial destination hub.
He, however, particularly congratulated Alhaji Rahman Adepoju and Hon. Gani Omotoso, Chairman and Vice Chairman-elect of Ibadan North/West Local Government respectively on their resounding victories in the Saturday 22nd May 2021 Local Government polls, describing it as an indication of the absolute trust the people of Ibadan N/W have in them.
“A big congratulation to our amiable, focused and visionary Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for providing the enabling environment despite the evil machinations of the opposition party. And to the electoral umpire, OSIEC, we simply can’t thank you enough for your courage, tenacity of purpose, sincerity and transparency in the conduct of unarguably the most peaceful and transparent grassroots election in our dear Oyo State for decades, ” said SSA.

He added “Now that the good people of Oyo State have spoken in favour of our great Party, the PDP, my admonition to all elected council bosses is to borrow a leaf from our action Governor by working tenaciously and assiduously for the good of the populace in our state”.
