The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde has charged the newly-elected Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon Sherrif Aderemi Adeojo and his vice, Barr. Saka Abiona Fashola to be a servant leaders in order to achieve outstanding success for the betterment of their people.
Governor Seyi Makinde made this appeal on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of the Chairman and his vice at the Executive Council Chamber in Governor’s office, Agodi, Ibadan.
Makinde there after congratulated the Executive Chairman and his vice and wished them a successful tenure in office.
In a related development, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo assured residents of Ido Local Government of various people oriented developmental projects across the ten political Wards during his tenure.
The new Council boss disclosed this at a brief reception organized by the management of Ido Local Government under the leadership of Mrs Ronke Aremu, the Head of Local Government Administration of the Council.
Hon. Adeojo also expressed his appreciation to Gov.” Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to him to serve as the Caretaker Chairman of Omi-Apata LCDA and now as the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government.
He, however, called on the good people of the Council and Oyo State at large to continue their support to the present administration in the state under the able leadership of Gov.” Seyi Makinde.
In his goodwill message, the PDP Chairman in Ido Local Government, Chief Akinsola Ayuba admonished the party leaders and party faithfuls to cooperate and support the new administration of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo and his team for landmark achievements.
Earlier in her welcome address during the reception, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Ronke Aremu congratulated the newly elected Executive Chairman and his vice as well as the Councillors on their electoral victory and prayed for their success in office.
Mrs Aremu thereafter assured the newly inaugurated Chairman of workers’ support and total loyalty at all time.
Present at the reception were all Heads of Department; the newly elected Councillors; Mallam Muili Yusuf and other party leaders in the Council area.
