Worried by the appalling state of insecurity in the country the South West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lampooned President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC for plunging the nation into a state of anarchy.
In a statement by PDP Zonal Publicity Secretary, Chief Sanya Atofarati, the party said six years of Buhari has irrevocably plunged the country into a Hobbesian state of nature where life is poor, nasty, brutish and short as the government seemed to have resigned to faith by allowing the free reign of terror on its citizens.
Going by the spate of killings, kidnappings and insurgency ravaging the northeast, northwest and every part of Nigeria, the ominous signs of a failed state is staring us in the face.
Under Buhari, Nigeria which is the envy of other nations of the world has slid into the poverty capital of the world where her citizens have become slaves in their fatherland.
While other countries are focusing attention on good quality education as tool for technological advancement Buhari’s APC has succeeded in creating bandits colony where school children were being kidnapped at random for ransom while security agents looked the other way.
“While the dragnet of his security services has not arrested a single bandit who was at the verge of decimating the entire north population but Buhari’s goons instead displayed uncommon dexterity by arresting Nnamdi in faraway Kenya and Sunday Igboho in far away the Benin Republic.
This is shameful, appalling, disgraceful, disheartening and falls short of international democratic norms. It is an understatement to say that Nigeria has never had it this bad that the country is plunged into this regrettable disintegration.”
REPORTERS AT LARGE earlier reported that Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday accused President Muhammadu Buhari of turning the presidential villa, which belongs to all Nigerians, to the headquarters of his party where he now parades governors coerced to join the ruling party.
These were contained in a communique issued at the end of the meeting of the PDP Governors Forum, which took place in Bauchi.
