A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso, Hon Akinwale Akinwole, has congratulated the newly-elected local government executives of the party in Oyo State.
Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle also urged them to justify their election by ensuring Governor Seyi Makinde and other party candidates in the forthcoming election win convincingly.
In a statement, signed by the Ogbomoso-born entrepreneur, Akinwole said “Your concerns now should be more on how to restore unity and peace in the party as well as winning more members into the party.
He urged them to collaborate with the ward and would-be state executives of the party for an effective and successful outing in 2003.
“Already, Governor Makinde’s unprecedented achievements in the last two and a half years has restored the hope and trust in our party. All that is left is for us to unite as one and win more people for the Party.
While commending the governor and other party leaders for ensuring peaceful conduct of the election, Wolekanle urged party loyalists not to be distracted by the antics of the “enemy within” but to be more focused and committed to the success of the party at the state and federal levels.
