As part of recognising his philanthropic gesture in Ekiti State, the founder of TZAR Foundation, Mr Rasaq Temitayo Zubair, has been awarded the Award of Excellence by Opomulero Group, a Social-Political group in South West Nigeria, Ekiti State chapter.
While receiving the Award on behalf of the founder, the general coordinator of the foundation, Sir Wale Ogundele, said the founder was honoured and humbled to be selected as one of the awardees at the event.
The founder of the TZAR foundation noted that the award of excellence would further spur his foundation to continue to do more in its philanthropic gesture and service to mankind.
He charged the youths to continue to sustain the good name that Ekiti is known for and excellent work in Nigeria.
“We are happy to associate with Opomulero group because of what it stands for as a social, political group that preaches truth and oness”. Temitayo said.
The Ekiti State coordinator of the group Comrade Rasheed Adewumi in his welcome address, stated that the group nominated the TZAR Foundation founder due to the positive impacts of the foundation in Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
Comrade Rasheed appreciated Mr Temitayo for accepting to honour the invite despite his tight schedule and short notice, noting that his generous donation at the event was a testament to his generosity.
The event also featured a lecture entitled “Youth and Politics”, delivered by Dr Kayode Arogundade of Ekiti State University. They charged the youth to stand up for their rights and shun any politics of acrimony and violence hope of occupying the seats of power at the next dispensation.
Dr Arogundade also implored the political gladiators to shun violence and desist from using the youths as political thugs if they claimed the youths of today are leaders of tomorrow. “How many politicians have their children in Nigeria, and if they are here, are they part of the struggle that produced them?” He inquired.
Mr Temitayo later dedicated the award to the entire youth of Ekiti State.
