It was a glamorous event as reputable individuals in the media and entertainment industry joined Startrend International Magazine to celebrate those who have made name for themselves in the Industry as the company marks its 10th year of existence.
The second phase of the event which took place recently at Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, in Oyo State, was marked with an award ceremony appreciating distinguished personnel who have contributed immensely in their various profession.
Among the the awardees include the Chairman, Apreel 1 Events Management and Publisher, Apreel 1 Events Magazine, Seyifunmi Odunuga, popularly known as Seyichicago, who received an award for immense contributions to the socio-economic development of Nigeria especially in the media industry.
The Chairman, Apreel 1 Events TV, lauded and appreciated the Publisher and Editor in Chief, Startrend International Magazine, Alhaji Abdulsatar Idowu Hamed, for organising such an event in Lagos and Ibadan, urging him not to relent.
Seyifunmi Odunuga was born over 50 years ago to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Titus Olufunmilola Odunuga.
He went to Aladura Mission School for his elementary education, Urban Day Grammar School, Ibadan, for his secondary education and Government College for his A level. He did not finished before he gained admission to The Polytechnic, Ibadan to read Mass Communication. The renowned Journalist did not stop there as he attended Olabisi Onabanjo University(OOU), Ago Iwoye, to read Economics as part time student.
Seyifunmi Odunuga has worked with a lot of people in the entertainment industry who is now making waves their profession such as
ace broadcaster, Yemi Sonde as Media Consultant; Witty Wale Thompson as Media Consultant; Yinka James as Media Consultant; King Dele Bravo as Artist Manager, and host of others.
He later established his own entertainment corporate outfit (Apreel 1 Events Management), which is a limited liability company administered by an independent board of directors comprising of seasoned and experienced management team of highly skilled and accomplished individuals.
The company (Apreel 1 Ushers, Apreel 1 Events Magazine and Apreel 1 Events TV),
since inception has planned and. organised various events for some individuals and corporate organisations in the past.
Some of the events packaged by Apreel 1 Events Management are: Wedding Ceremony of the daughter of former Chief of Staff in Oyo State, Dr Saka Balogun; Birthday ceremony of the. ace broadcaster, Yemi Sonde and his wife, Omolade Sonde; Wedding ceremony of the daughter of the former Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Shaba Lafiagi in 2012.

A promotional show for International Breweries PLC; Red carpet anchored at 2015 Oyo State Xmas Carol held at Agodi Gardens; King Sunny Ade’s 70th Birthday at the palace of Ooni of Ife, tagged; Ooni Celebrates KSA @ 70; Birthday/Album launch of King Dele Bravo held recently at Options 24/7 in Ikolaba, Bodija Ibadan, Nigeria, and many others.
Seyifunmi Odunuga is happily married with children and they all live in unity.
The organiser of the event and Editor-in-Chief, Startrend International magazine, Alhaji Hamed, thanked the Almighty God who made the occasion possible while he also lauded everyone who made it to the event to felicitate with him.
He stated further that the today marked another happiest day in his life for the opportunity given to me by the Almighty God to celebrate a milestone – 10th anniversary of Startrend Int’l Magazine, disclosing that the initial idea of the establishment of the paper was to promote his root – Ilaro-Yewa, headquarters of Ogun West but after some editions reactions from the esteemed readers across the country and abroad was that the contents of the magazine should spread beyond Yewaland.
He sajd, “I’m highly indebted to you all for the moral and financial supports you have accorded Startrend Int’l Magazine over the years. Once again, I thank you all for sparing time to celebrate with me. God in His infinite mercies shall celebrate you all till eternity.”
In the vote of thanks, Engr. Segun Azeez thanked Alhaji Hamed for his initiative to organize the event and everyone who made it to the event and prayed for journey mercies to their various destinations.
