Notwithstanding her being born into affluence, the passionate desires to affect lives of the downtrodden positively, principally accounted for why Hon Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju veered off the lucrative psychiatric nursing, cum real estate career into politics.

Unlike most other politicians, who seek to better their lots in politics, Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju rather considered occupying an elective position as one of the surest endeavours through which political office holders could conveniently bring governance closer to the people at the grassroots and empower them to have a say on matters that affect their lives.

It is indeed an understatement to say that political office holders in today’s Nigeria consider the grassroot people important only during every electioneering period when they will be doling out gifts to entice them, but the fact remains that those unsuspecting electorates easily fall prey of their games which is largely targeted at securing their votes during the an election.

It is however, noteworthy to distinguish Hon Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju from such political gimmick, considering her antecedents, which has witnessed several people of the grassroots, overcoming the challenges of life without any string attached to he benevolence. Our reporter recalled that Hon. Bakre’s gesture, through her pet project christened Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju Helping Hand Foundation (LBHF) attested to her consistence intervention at uplifting the lots of humanity.

Born in the 1980s, Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju, who cut her teeth in broadcast journalism told our correspondent that experiences of live, coupled with instructions received from her mother have taught her to understand that there is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.

And so, the South Bank University, London trained Housing and social Worker felt come year 2023, live of the downtrodden, particularly from her Ijebu-Ode State constituency of Ogun will be better guaranteed if she can secure a legislative seat at the State House of Assembly (OGHA) and as such, sponsor Bills that will give legal backing to how government should touch the lives of the downtrodden.

“I strongly believe there is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. I have been in the world since the early 1980’s and understand that there is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others. My Mum and life experience really showed me better examples.

“I studied Broadcast Journalism from Nigeria institute of journalism Ogba Lagos, got Higher National Diploma in Marketing from the polytechnic of Ibadan, and went further to study Economics in Lagos State University. I have a degree in Housing and social work from South Bank University London, U.K. and presently I’m studying BA in mental health nursing at university of Essex.

“I am a servant, politician, wife and a mother. My passion is to make impact in governance through sponsorship of bills that touch the lives of the downtrodden populace. I have been touching lives through my pet project tagged Lola Bakre Helping Hand Foundation.

“LBHF is on a mission to provide free education to young underprivileged children by building schools and equip them with necessary materials to make their education easy, also to empower widows with necessary skills for them to be self employed.

“As we are on plan to make our missions feasible, you should know we are not just full of words as we have taken lots of bold steps, extending our blessing to some primary schools in Ogun State by providing them with free written materials. Planning on paying a reasonable amount of students school fees, also we have been empowering widows and on a plan to build a place where we can properly equip them with different skills. We are not presently where we wish to be because of lack of fund but we are better than where we started and putting all things in place for a brighter future”, she said.

Not many people know that Bakre omolola Olanrewaju has been in politics for a long time and she is not in politics for personal gains, neither is she in politics for fame. Unlike some Nigerian politicians, Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju is is driven by the passion to serve humanity and improve the standard of living of the people.

Bakre Omolola Olanrewaju contested for the of the State House of Assembly of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the build up to the 2019 general election.

But, despite the minor setback, this amazing philanthropist and grassroots politician didn’t stop helping the people.

Her philanthropic gesture, large heart, commitment to grassroots development, service to humanity and love for her people are some of the reasons Bakre omolola should emerge the next House of Assembly member from Ijebu-Ode.

Aside the fact that her constituency has never produced a female lawmaker, Bakre Omolola, has over the years through her track record proven that she is more prepared and qualified than any other candidate to represent her people at the State Assembly.

Perhaps, one great thing about Bakre omolola Olanrewaju is that she is an ardent supporter of the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun.

In her words, “Ogun State under the leadership of our amiable Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has experienced tremendous and unprecedented development in all the sectors of the State.

“This administration has no doubt touched the life of residents of the State through massive developmental projects in education, health, road infrastructure, agriculture and so many others.

“That is why I think our people need to continue to support this administration and also support me to represent them at the State House of Assembly for more developmental projects.”
