The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Western Zone, has joined other eminent Nigerians and group of individuals to felicitate with Oba Dr Lekan Balogun on his enthronement as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory message signed by it’s Zonal Vice President, Otunba Babatunde Adesokan, the group described Oba Balogun as a cosmopolitan monarch whose reign would usher in tremendous advancement in Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
“Kabiesi, your exposure and background as a genial and kind person should reflect in your position as a king. We want to see Ibadan where value is placed on Yoruba culture and tradition as well as unity in the land.
“We are ready to work with the traditional institution to promote the cultural values, tradition and customs of the Yoruba race even beyond the shores of Nigeria,” the letter reads in part.
While praying for good health and long life for the Kabiesi, NANTA also called for more supports and prayers for the monarch.
The Association, however, commended the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Ibadan high chiefs and mogaji, and other stakeholders for their role in ensuring that the coronation Programm was successful.
