Some terrorists were reported to have invaded villages in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed several residents including the Aribi ward chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Illiya Auta.
It was also gathered that scores of the residents were abducted while some cows were rustled during the attack which occurred on Monday night
According to a source, the hoodlums stormed Aribi ward in Kagarko and shot indiscriminately forcing residents of the area to flee their homes.
The source added that “It was during the attack that the Aribi ward chairman of the APC, Mr Illiya Auta, was gunned down.
“Several other residents were killed during the attack that occurred Monday night.
“The bandits also made away with scores of the villagers to an unknown destination while others were seriously wounded.
“They (bandits) also rustled great numbers of cow,” he added.
The source who craved anonymity appealed to the government to come to their aid as bandits have taken over their villages.
Neither the state government nor the state police command had reacted to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
When contacted, the command’s public relations officer, Mohammed Jalige, did not take calls at the time of filing this report.
