Ibadan Southwest aspirants and party leaders in the Ibadan Southwest finally resolved on primaries after intensive deliberation held at the Molete residence of the former generalissimo of Ibadan Southwest politics, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu.
REPORTERS AT LARGE gathered that the leaders at the meeting are; Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Senator Kamorudeen Adedibu, Morufu Olumide Balogun, Paul Oni, Wale Afolabi, Alhaji Ado, Tajudeen Adigun (Atu), Tajudeen Aleshinloye, Pastor Popoola, Pastor Tibonyin, Tajudeen Adelaide.
The aspirants at the meeting including the incumbents are; Femi Fowokanmi, Yusuf Adebisi, Babatunde Ige, Samson Opeyemi Fatola, Kazeem Alarape, Isola Adekunle Baruwa, Emmanuel Olorunfemi, Gbenga Elebolo, Hon. Sossy and Ramoni.
After an intensive argument, the leaders failed to convince the aspirants that they are acting on the directives of Governor Seyi Makinde to return the incumbent lawmakers.
The leader’s plea fell on the aspirant’s deaf ears and they have resolved that going into primaries is the way out in Ibadan Southwest Local government.
