The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has named the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 presidential elections.
Atiku, who made the declaration on Thursday via his verified social media handles, wrote: “I am delighted to announce Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. As One We Can Get It Done.”
Earlier, Okowa was welcomed to the PDP’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday with congratulatory remarks.
Okowa was at the PDP Headquarters to attend the party’s Vice Presidential screening with two other PDP top members who were screened today as the party searches for a running mate for its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
