The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede, has joined numerous other Nigerians in congratulating Muslims all over the world, especially citizens of Oyo State and the Akinyele/Lagelu constituency, as they witness this year’s Eid al-Kabir festival celebration.

Hon. Olafisoye, popularly called ‘Lafi’, made the congratulatory message in a release he personally signed and made available to newsmen.

He called on Muslims to let the spirit of oneness, love, tolerance and sacrifice reflect in their dealings with one another, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim during and after the celebration.

Hon. Lafi, who used the occasion to express his appreciation to the APC in the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency for the opportunity they gave him to represent the party at next year’s general elections, promised that he will ensure effective and adequate representation that will bring succour to the downtrodden if elected come 2023.

He said: I, Prince Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede, popularly known as ‘Lafi’, congratulate the Muslim faithful and indeed the good people of Oyo State and my federal constituency, Akinyele/Lagelu, on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.’

“As much as the period is for merry-making and offering of thanks to Allah, we should always be mindful of the activities of the evil ones in our different societies.

“Therefore, there is a need for everyone to be vigilant and security-conscious.

I want to reiterate the need for the citizens in this state to be their brother’s keeper by making sure that relevant information in and around their environment is made available to the appropriate security agencies to have a hitch-free celebration. Congratulations and Barka de Sallah.” Olafisoye concluded.
