Adeleke Defeats Oyetola In Osun Govt House As APC Defeats PDP At Akande’s Polling Unit

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State lost the Government House, Osogbo polling unit, to Senator Ademola Adeleke, his closest rival in the ongoing election.

While Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 117 votes at the Agowande/Oshogbo GRA/Governor’s office polling unit, Oyetola, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), trailed with 106 votes.

The polling unit is in the Olorunda Local Government Area.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has floored the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) at polling unit 12, Ward 4, Isedo I, Ita Atewogbade, Ila-Orangun, where Chief Bisi Akande and his son, Oluwafemi Akande, who is the Osun Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, voted.

At the unit, the APC scored 140 votes to defeat the opposition party, which got 117 votes.

At the adjacent polling unit 11, ward 4, in Ita Atewogbade, the PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, won with 75 votes to incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s (APC) 63.

At the nearby Ojude Abalagemo, the APC also triumphed with 160 votes. Its closest rival, the PDP, secured 116 votes at the unit.
