The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, has described the emergence of Barrister Bayo Lawal as the substantive Deputy Governor of Oyo State as a sign of good omen that the PDP victory is certain in the 2023 general elections.

Hon. Ademola Ige (Ige again) stated this while congratulating Barrister Lawal on his swearing-in as the new Deputy Governor of Oyo State, noting that his wealth of experience as a politician of repute and erudite legal practitioner, coupled with the outstanding performance of Governor Seyi Makinde, is enough shreds of evidence to give the party victory.

Hon. Ige noted that the new Deputy Governor has been humble, humane, and easy to associate with, adding that these qualities have made it easier to endear him to those who come into contact with him.

Hon. Ige, who is also the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, stressed further that he has no doubt that the deputy Governor will use his wealth of experience to consolidate on the achievements so far recorded by the present administration under the able leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde as the end of his first term tenure draws nearer.

While wishing Barr. Lawal, who has a successful tenure in office, Hon. Ademola Ige, the immediate past Minority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, used the opportunity to further solicit the support and cooperation of all and sundry for the duo of Engr. Seyi Makinde and Barr. Bayo Lawal, in their efforts to take the state to greater heights.
