The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate in Oyo North, Hon. Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, has commiserated with the traditional rulers of Oke Ogun in Oyo State over the demise of Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Dr Abdulganiy Salaudeen.
Wolekanle, as he is fondly called, lamented the demise of the monarch, whom he described as a quintessential father with great zeal for the advancement of Iseyin, Oke Ogun, and Oyo State at large.
In a condolence message to the Oke Ogun people, the Ogbomoso-born young entrepreneur said he received the news of Baba’s death with a rude shock and disbelief.
Death is a necessary end for all mortals, but losing a genial and passionate king like Aseyin, whose love for his subjects and the state is unrivalled at this time, is not just painful but a sad loss.
He would be remembered as an ideal Yoruba king whose reign ushered in rapid infrastructural growth, economic advancements, and promotion of cultural values.
While praying for the repose of Aseyin’s soul, Wolekanle asks God to forgive him his sins and grant him eternal rest.
He also prays that God will comfort his immediate and extended family, Iseyin indigenes monarchs and the entire Oyo State.
