The town of Ileegbo Ijesha under the leadership of Onileegbo of Ileegbo, Oba Abiola Adbulrasaq Esan, has commenced the yearly celebration of the Agbalumo festival of peace, harmony and fruitfulness.
The African culture is rich in the celebration of our historical essence, traditional orientations and core values as a community of people.
The Yoruba culture stands out, especially concerning the diversities and differences within the geographic location of Nigeria South West, among the Yoruba people, while the Ijesha people have distinct cultural and linguistic parameters from other clans within the Yoruba people.
Agbalumo Festival is one of many festivals of the Ijesha people and it is a celebration of the triumph of the Ijesha people of Ileegbo origin.
The festival is an annual traditional celebration of the rich cultural heritage, which commenced on Thursday, August 11 to 12, every year.
There are hordes of tourists across the globe that visit this beautiful town to celebrate the beauty of the core African values.
