The suspect, who is said to be a staff member of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, in the Department of Works and Fire Services unit, was alleged to have conspired with two other people, Isah Adams and one Adah, to perpetrate the nefarious act.

According to the report, the late Sherifah was said to have been kidnapped on August 4, 2022, at their residence in Okenya along Itayi Street in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of the state.
