The Deputy Speaker and member representing Ona Ara State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Fadeyi Abiodun Mohammed, has admonished Nigerians not to see the legislative arm of government as a rubber stamp to their Executive counterparts.
In an interview with the crew of “Politics Now” and “Big Deal” on Yes 101.7 FM radio station, Honourable Fadeyi opined that the rubber stamp notion is wrong, adding that the legislative arm of government has been up and doing at all levels.
He stated further that every executive proposal would be scrutinized to ensure that it was best for the people.
Honourable Fadeyi then assured Nigerians that the legislature would continue to discharge its oversight of constitutional functions for the benefit of the people.
He pointed out that members of the legislative arm of government in Oyo State, particularly, would never miss the ample opportunity given them to serve the people; hence, their resolve to put the masses first in everything they do.
