President Muhammadu Buhari said he has no desire to own a house outside Nigeria and has not bought one since he became President in 2015.

According to BBC Hausa, the president disclosed this during his meeting with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in the United Kingdom.

During a press conference after the meeting with the 73-year-old king, Buhari said the king asked him if he had a personal house in the UK, to which he responded negatively.

Buhari said his visit was to discuss the diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.

He said that the meeting was hitherto scheduled to take place in Kigali before Charles became king.

“The King welcomed the President of Nigeria to Buckingham Palace for an audience this afternoon,” Buckingham Palace tweeted.
