Honourable Adebolu Okiki Folorunso, the Accord Party candidate for Ibadan South East Constituency 2, has said he is in court to reclaim his stolen mandate.

Okiki said in a press release that his name was illegally substituted with that of Folorunso Tolulope Ahmed, who did not participate in the party’s primary.

Honourable Okiki stated earlier that he had raised an alarm that Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Chief Mrs Bukola Ajaja and Mr Dairo Olaide were trying to substitute his name with that of Folorunso Tolulope Ahmed.

I was a member of the Accord Party before Chief Bayo Adelabu and his group decamped to the Party. I participated in the Party’s primary, which was held on June 6, 2022, at IMG Primary School, Alake, Academy, Ibadan, where I emerged as the consensus Candidate.

Leaders of the party who were present at the Primary were the Local Government Chairman, Adeshina Alimi a.k.a Major, Ward 7 Chairman, Segun Akande, Ward 8 Chairman, Raphael Okunoye, Ward 9, Hammed Saheed, Ward 10 Chairman, Rafiu Lukman, Ward 11 Chairman, Olayode Babatunde and Ward 12 Chairman, Babatunde Sunday, and other members of the Accord Party in Ibadan South East Local Government were all present at the Primary election. I was even issued Certificate of Return by INEC’s officer for Ibadan South East, Mr Stephen Keshinro INEC Electoral Officer.”
