On Tuesday, police conducted a raid at the home of Mukaila Lamidi, alias Auxiliary, the fired head of the disciplinary committee at Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State. They found firearms there.
The change occurred a short time after the state’s new governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, disbanded the PMS on Monday after taking the oath to serve another term.
According to reports, the police squad broke into the Auxiliary’s home in Olodo on Monday night following a tip that they were preparing a protest attack against the development in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Although Auxiliary allegedly fled, several of his boys were detained.
When contacted, SP Adewale Osifeso, the spokeswoman for Oyo Police Command, said the police would comment on the development shortly.
During the raid, according to a source close to Auxiliary, the company’s home and numerous cars were vandalised, some individuals were slain, others were arrested, and millions of naira were taken away.
Auxiliary’s Lexus SUV, a pick-up van, and a window of his home were all damaged in a video that was uploaded online.
