Lionel Messi has decided to join Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami as a free agent, done deal.
A sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that the decision had been made and communicated in the last few hours to Barcelona after their bid.
Messi will play in MLS next season—there are no more chances for Barcelona or Al Hilal at this stage.
After spending two years with Paris Saint-Germain, the player, who many consider the best in football history, is now a free agent. Messi was eager to return to Barcelona after departing owing to the club’s financial difficulties in 2021.
Messi’s father and agent, Jorge, recently acknowledged conversations about a potential deal while being spotted at Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona. However, an offer never materialised.
