An official of Chicago State University has testified under oath that the replacement certificate of the school, which President Bola Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not a university document, meaning that it was a forgery.
The Registrar of the Chicago State University, Carl Wesberg, who testified under oath yesterday in a deposition following the ruling of Judge Nancy Maldonado on Monday in the petition of the records of Bola Tinubu at the CSU said that the logo of the school on the replacement certificate is not known to the institution.
The deposition process lasted over five hours and ended at about 9:30pm Nigerian time.
When filing this report, perfecting the deposition document for transmission to Atiku’s lawyers in Nigeria was a top priority.
It will be recalled that one of the grounds upon which the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, is challenging the election of President Tinubu in non-qualification based on forgery of his document.
Meanwhile, the full transcript of the deposition is anxiously awaited by Nigerians and non-Nigerians who have followed the case with keen interest.
