The Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate for the Accord Party in the 2023 Election, Engr Nurudeen Oladotun Faozey, has sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives, the injured, and their properties in the explosions that rocked Bodija Estate, Ibadan, yesterday.
In a statement personally signed and released in Ibadan this afternoon, Engr Faozey praised Governor Seyi Makinde and his team for their swift response to mitigate the effects of this unfortunate incident.
While praying that God would prevent a recurrence of this kind of incident, Engr Faozey called for calm and utmost cooperation with the first responders and the State Government as they brought the situation back to normalcy.
REPORTERS AT LARGE reported that Ibadan city panicked on Tuesday evening as many buildings were shattered following the terrific vibration from an unexplained explosion that rocked parts of the city.
Meanwhile, the Oyo government has called for calm, assuring that security service chiefs, including para-military chiefs and Fire Operatives, have been deployed by the governor to Reign in the spillover from the explosion.
