A 12-year-old student, Cameron Robinson, has made history as one of the youngest students to earn a college degree, as he has graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Florida State College Jacksonville. He began college at the age of seven.
According to 11 Alive, Cameron has been simultaneously attending middle school through a dual enrollment program while pursuing his college degree.
Cameron’s aspirations are lofty. His goal is to enrol at MIT and work towards an engineering degree.
Even with his tremendous success, Cameron maintains his modesty, saying that his acquaintances frequently look at him in surprise when he tells them he graduated from college.
“My friends are always like, ‘What? You’re graduating college?’ And they don’t believe me whenever I tell them. So it’s definitely a cool experience,” Cameron said.
Meanwhile, Cameron appreciated the encouraging atmosphere at FSCJ and mentioned that his teachers treated him just like any other kid.
He was appreciative of the social skills he learned at the college, saying he will use them to further his bachelor’s programme.
