Online News Publishers Laud Dotun Oyelade

Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration will continue to serve the people of Oyo State, Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, has assured.

Prince Oyelade, who gave the assurance while hosting the online news publishers in the state in his office on Wednesday, also commended the online publishers for their timely and efficient information dissemination on the government activities in the state.

The Commissioner also commended the online news publishers for their support for the Ministry of Information since he assumed office in July 2023.

He then assured that the Ministry will continue to leverage the speed and competence of online publishers in the interest of the people of the Oyo State.

Meanwhile, Prince Oyelade disclosed that the ministry has intensified efforts in making sure that all the 55 information officers of the Ministry of Information adapt to the changing media landscape and shift towards becoming contemporary reporters to meet up with the evolving nature of journalism in this digital age.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Taiwo Ladipo underscored the importance of collaboration between government and relevant stakeholders, especially the media, in developing the state and the people therein.

He expressed high hope in the positive outcome of the meeting between the Ministry of Information and the online publishers

In their response, the online news publishers in the state commended the state’s Prince Dotun Oyelade for his professionalism, swift response to state issues, and his usual accessibility to press men.

The meeting was attended by the management team of the ministry.
