In a move that highlights Nigeria’s commitment to cultural revival and economic growth through the creative industry, the Federal Ministry of Tourism Art, Culture and the Creative Economy has officially endorsed the upcoming Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival 2024.

The maiden edition of the carnival initiated by the Soun of Ogbomosoland His Imperial Majesty Oba Gbandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III is scheduled to hold in December, 2024.

The Ministry, in a letter dated October 9, 2024, commended Oba Olaoye for his dedication to fostering social and economic growth within his community through culture.

According to the letter signed by Mrs. Akudo-Nwosu, Director of the Ministry’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Department, the ministry emphasize the importance of the event as a platform for job creation, social mobilization, and socio-economic empowerment.

The Ministry further acknowledged the role the carnival would play in promoting Nigeria’s art, culture, and the creative economy.
